Classic FT, did say about this in the past, in fact got an NJR100 and an old HW77 (made in WEST Germany) that would be good for that, like it! :)

Why not make a team up hols? Ok so you probably won't get any silverware, but that's not the point is it... :)

I think it must be sometime in 1994-95 or there abouts.

I also got an AA Shamal I'm restoring at the moment and had in mind the same thing as you ie dressing it up with a Tasco Custom Shop to have it all matched up but could not find a decent one so had to settle for a Big BSA.

April 1994 for Mark 1 with 1/8th clicks made by Asia Optical Japan. Same turrets as Nightforce scopes 10-40 and FT, they packed up also.
    1995 still Mark 1 with 1/4 clicks!
1995 Hakos own brand with 1/4 clicks to earlyish 1996 in small numbers sold by X Calibre.
1996 mid Mark 2 with pink lenses, they didnt snap in i had 7 plus repairs in half as many months.
    1998 Mark 3 with 40, 50 and that milk bottle of a 60 mag.

Just in with the 100 series, 1995 saw release of RN10.

    Oh my god .

The zeiler must be the only scope i have seen that NOBODY could use on 32 mag . it was the darkest dingiest scope EVER ??? HOLLY

Daz reckons it was 92 . one has just sold on the BBS for £ 300 , yes £300 . although the gent said it ws new and boxed . i paid £160 for mine . with large sidwheel and top turret extender .

I have and am still using one of the MK1's. It was brought in mid 1996 to go on my AR5 (SN 21) which is still also going.

The only 40 mag scopes were the PR boosted Vari x 3 and EFR by 92.
Mid to late 93 Nightforce came out with that 40 mag Jenky was selling.
Only other scope by 1994 was a shocking illuminated 50 mag, forget the name begins with O.

Had a Tasco TS 8-32 milk bottle visually the same as the Zeiller. It would have gone back the next day if it wasnt a bank holiday, exchanged for the Zeiller.
    Quite good optically.

Take it from me it was April 1994 100% sure.

    Optima ?

Was it the optima maybe . my first proper FT scope was the lupe varri X 3 6.5 to 20 by 40 . beautiful scope . then i got a 18+40 . never got on with that . had a 14 + 35 . that went bought a MK4 in 32 mag which i just bought back . i had 6 BIG BSAs over the years . two debens . and god knows how many small scopes . but the best of the lot is my 20+50 lupe . as a summer scope . nothing comes close ??? I concur with 1994.

I got one from Nick Jenkinson in early 94 which I put on my custom SM100.

One scope that passed through my hands - and really regret selling - was a prototype Nightforce based on the Custom Shop pattern but a 15-52x56 in silver finish. If it had gone to production it would have been quite something.

Thats the horrible beast Hols Optima Moonlighter, RWS later had a very poor similar scope, makes me shudder how ropey.

I can actually find the exact date i bought mine Youngs i think over east at NEC 94 and the date of the earliest one i know of which is three days before mine on the Wednesday.
