That's normal for the game fair and the FT shoot, we have to be in before the public and then have to wait until the main crowds leave.

Not sure where the HFT are in comparison to the usual FT shoot though so couldn't say if it's the same main car park.

Should be a good weekend with everyone there

    Nope
    Been waiting for clarification
All competitors just follow the signs for the shooters car park, so won’t be restricted by the trade times on the vehicle pass

Hi Pete if the shoots within the main grounds FT dont usually get access once the shows open, as there is no vehicles inside once the doors open. we park inside by the camping entrance, there is Security by the cattle grid before our parking on the right, I can never remember it that's the shooters side too or just the dogs.

You need to be clear about which entrance you use.
Shooters is more often than not for the shotgun shooters and that’s no where near where the Ft guys shoot.
I have no idea where the Hft shoot is being held , it may well be by the shotguns , but like BDL said , once the public turn up there will be no driving through the grounds.
Would be well worth getting a post code for the nearest entrance to the Hft shoot.

Chaps, the WHFTA shoot is not where the FT shoot is. So it's probably best leaving Pete to update the thread when he's on site and knows exactly who needs to go where.

WHFTA have a map here SATELLITE Overview which you can see the WHFTA area.
I've superimposed the WHFTA map onto a larger map that shows where the FT usually is to show the relationship. The WHFTA area is the lower half, the FT upper right.

The FT entrance is usually the Lichfield Drive entrance in the upper right marked yellow. The FT car park (also marked yellow) is inside the event and not accessible by car while the event is open, you have to drive into it before and can only drive out after the show. The FT line is marked yellow.

There is usually a traffic system in place around the boundary of the event. This usually follows the boundary of where the image is knocked back in the map.

The game fair is usually sited in between where the FT & HFT shoots are, ie south west of the FT and north of the HFT. It's the green area. It's a rough guess.

    MAP V3.jpg

The entrance to the WHFTA area is:

    Tong Entrance
    Mill Lane
    Shifnal
    TF11 8PX

    Google drop pin
Near Mill Ln, Shifnal TF11 8PX
    Google Maps

This was confirmed by Pete this morning.

It is likely though that if you are doing both you will have to walk through the show with your gear (covered), so just be prepared to factor that in for the times where you need to be where. It's not a long walk but it won't be a 5 minute amble as the show will be in full swing and it's unlikely to be a straight line as there's a clay shoot in between, marked as a rough guess in red. You can see that it's approx 800m as the crow flies.

Right it’s seems people have been given information even before we had it ;) as nobody has ever mentioned being on site before a certain time?

Camping is in the same area, there is no time restrictions on competitors arriving or leaving.
But remember all must be booked in by 11am

    Pete
