We will be setting a precedent at this event .

The organiser will not be shooting the course .

This is to prevent any problems with course knowledge , range distances etc .

That will make the event far fairer over all .

I hope that the competitors realise this and appreciate the lengths we are taking to keep this fair .

Same with the competitors , as far as rifles go , " keeping within the spirit " will be a big factor .

If you have to use your adjustable cheek piece , no problem at all , you will just shoot in the Target Rifle class.

You can still shoot and enjoy the challenge .

You will be eligible for the lucky draws as well .

I'm not really sure how an event organiser can gain any unfair advantage ????

Even a course setter doesn't seem to have an advantage as in UKAHFT very few, if any, course setters have ever won their own event, possibly due to all the hassle involved.

I think there is a big advantage in shooting a round at your home ground as you have lots of experience of the venue & wind but we can't really ban shooters from a hosting club can we :D

Any way, good look with your series, it's good to see variations of our sport being tried

    course setters shooting their courses

well I;ve got to say it has only done my shooting harm not helped and I can assure you all if I ever{ which I dont think will happen]win an event that I;ve helped put out I;ll have won it by sussing that wind out better than every-one else .
So I recomend all course setters shoot your courses and if you win you have done it on merrit alone
    cheers Ian

In case of confusion about the Target Rifle class, there WILL be trophies for this class at the end of the year .

However the Competition is for Sporting Rifles .

As always we have tried to accomodate all aspects, 22s , spirngers , Ladies , juniors .

Dont despair , if you only have a "Target Rifle" you are still welcome to compete . :)

    More good news !

We are being sponsored by Solware and Brocock !

Solware are sposoring loads of prizes , and at the last event we'll have a lucky draw for a brand new Brocok Rifle .

Every shooter who enters any or all 3 of the events will be eligible for the lucky draw for the rifle .

If you shoot all 3 events , you'll have 3 chances to win , 2 events 2 chances to win .

So , the more events you shoot , the better your chances are to win the rifle .

In case you are not able to be at the final event , & your name is pulled out of the hat , you will be informed of your win , & you will have to arrange with the organiser , to collect , or obtain from an RFD of your own choice .
