Did anyone else have a problem with the Chrono at Woodend Sunday. My first reading was I think 737, a bit low I thought, tried it again after coming back around the course and got 713, blimey guns up the creek. Any how did not worry about it as it was such a great day and the gun sounded ok. Today I chrono'd the gun on my Skan over 20 shots, 160 bar in the air tube left from sunday, 1st shot 781.25 then 784.31, 785.85 like wise upto shot 12, 785.85 then shot 13 764.82 then 14 - 20 793 - 787. Gun ok. Perhaps it would help if chrono at meets was under some sort of cover.
This is not a rant about the meeting, just wanted to know if any one else had the same.
Thanks to all who set up and run the meeting. One of the best yet.

i have to say i had no problems with the woodend chrono, i shot once it read as expected and tried a second and once again no problem.
the catering i had no problem with either, the best i have had at any event!

My Chrono was low too at 795/796, but I was using express and normally run at 805, so I should have seen 825 apprx.

Alan here not Chloe , I babysat Chrono for as many shooters as possible as feedback was requested plus Gilly doing first few. I had from memory 3 go lower than shooter expected, but had a run who said very close to what they expected mostly within 6.Do not want shooters worried with low readings , but would say overall Chrono performed well. For the light levels on the day was sited correctly. Chrono was checked by a shooter with a Combro found to be within3. Not much else we could do_Only Marshal on am .

Now you mention it, I should have gone through at 782, I thaught I come a long way to worry about 5fps so did not mention it to grupy.

I suppose its what cost up our targets sunday Neil  ?

    chrono

Will put it down to certain light conditions for that time of day.. See what it does next time. Any one know at what distance the muzzle has to be from the front of that particular chrono. My Skan is 10 inches. No remarks please.

We have a Pro chrono and i have to say its normally faultless. Consistant in overcast to bright sunlight, far more consistant than any skan i have tried ( outside) lol

    chrono

I have this chrono on test for Shaun and the BFTA. So if it`s ok it will be the one used at the GP`s this year.
I`ve tested my cannon on it a few times and what I`ve found is that it is very good. The readings are consistent and accurate. I`ve found that you need to shoot the pellet over it around 100mm over the sensors any higher and it wont read or gives odd readings. Plus it dont like being in a wooded area so I suppose it is light sensitive. Overall on Sunday the chrono performed well and nobody failed!:)

CED 2 is probably only consistently reliable chrono out there. Why not get one of those, no issues.

I had two shots over the chrono, 744 and 743 I think, I expected something more like 770.

When this chrono was tried out earlier last year it read what I expected.

It read high for me 10 to 12ft/sec and wouldn't register partners.

If going to legislate do it right CED with Infra Red or nothing.

Spot on for me. It read 815 and that's what I expected. If its the same chrono we used at Sywell, which I think it was, then it read 814 on that day.
Nice to have a decent chrono. The ones used for the GPs had me anywhere between 740 and 790.
I haven't touched my power setting and use Express's and try to get just over 800 fps with my Combro 4.

767 fps for me. Reads 780 on my Chrony at home and 770 on the Crombo. I have been around 760 fps for the last few Winter leagues but still 780 fps on the Chrony.
