This Sunday sees the start of the new Winter HFT series at MAD. (CM3 6PZ)

We shall be starting at 11am with a safety brief at 10.45. The course will be 30 shots and all the ranges will be to UKAHFT specification. There is no pre-booking so just come along on the day and shoot a great course with like minded people.

    Cost is just £7

    Open Class

The competition is predominantly Open class, with medals on the day for the winners and a nice big trophy for the season champions.

    Teams

You can either enter a team for the series, this should comprise of 4 shooters with 3 scores to count or if you want a 3 man team then all your scores will count.

If you do not want to shoot the complete series as a single team and only want to shoot a few rounds, then no problem. There will be medals for the top team on the day. So, when you book in, let us know your team name and the shooters in it, otherwise we will put you with 2 other shooters and make up a day team (A bit like the UKAHFt pairs)

There shall of course be medals for Juniors and if enough people shoot there will be medals for Ladies springer and .22

Also, every shoot you take part in gives you a better chance of winning a brand new HW101 from Hull cartridge.

So come along and give us a try

    Gary

After a chat with Ian and a few other trusted bods, we have decided to have a small change in the rules.

In the team event, the top 3 scores from the 4 shooters will now count.

and for the series, all individuals and teams will be able to drop one score from the 5 rounds.

So, it will be best 4 from 5

    Gary

Why three to count and not four?? i don't get it?? Being a team event i presumed it was all four of the team to count towards the end score???

I had a few emails from people asking for the change.

This was because we had teams of 3 pcp shooters and 1 springer or three adults and a child, by allowing 3 from 4, it enables these teams to still be competitive.

We also had teams of 3 shooters asking if they could be a team, because of this, I spoke to Ian and we both agreed that the change should be made.

Also the four from five shoots enables teams to take part, even if they cant make one of the rounds.

    Reply to Laity [Roger]

sorry that paste and copy cant do:::::::::
What it is ,is that a few people have said about not been able to shoot every-one etc etc etc etc so before the series starts we want to try and get the best for everyone who wants to shoot them ,this is a new winter series that we hope every-one will enjoy shooting but I;m not saying that the rules are the greatest but we are trying to give people somewhere to shoot HFT in the winter months with-out traveling all over the country, this I know you were in full agreement with when we discussed it earlier in the year.
The rules will not be changed once the series starts but we are trying to do the best for the people who want to shoot it .
    cheers Ian

And dont forget there is a FREE GUN to be won by some-one who shoots the series so it cant be bad can it ??????????
