So, who does what..
I know why i miss! its because i've aimed in the wrong place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:shot:
9/10 i know why... but trying not to make the mistake is the real trick...
Dealing with the missed shots in competition is a bit of a contradiction, because you must put them out of your mind, but also remember and learn by the mistake
I rarely think about missed shots during competition, always on to the next target.
I do ponder afterwards, in an attempt to learn & understand, so as to improve.
mostly I know why I miss , poor rangefinding or bad wind judgement
sometimes I don't know but it will probably be a combination of the above
at the weekend, there were two i didn't see strike, 2 i thought i saw where i struck, all for wind, except one which was a poor stander (not as bad as the stander i hit though).
Happy with the way i shot in the end, but the start wasn't that cracking...
when i miss a the odd one in a comp (about 1 in 10) i always put it down to a dodgy pellet or something that isnt my fault, as i cant be doing much wrong to hit 9/10. Just gives me more confidence in my gear and therefore myself. if i miss say 3,4,5/10 or a few in early on in the coarse then i change tactics a little plus/minus clicks, more/less wind ect. or on a really bad day where nothing goes right go to the burger van forget the shoot and take the p*** out of yourself cos if you dont every1 else will.
I allways know why. Its the guns fault
I reckon its the targets that move sometimes just to catch me out. There again, I am just about to go for a long awaited eyetest.
