Where to buy Steyr air cylinder with quickfill ?

Looking at another thread on here I see there is a quick-fill cylinder available which retains the pressure gauge on the end of said cylinder....

Advice on that thread was Google it ?? Well I have and cannot find one only the standard Steyr cylinders...

Would appreciate lead if anyone can help ??

    There is on on Ebay......
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130706689707?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

But its 10 years old and likely to go silly in price as some stuff does....

I would prefer to buy a new one and know its bang on and safe.......

    Thanks.

    Charlie.

You will need to provide a cylinder and have it converted. I believe that Hydrographics do it, as does somebody on here, but I can't remember who.

As far as I am aware, they will all be a conversion done as an aftermarket job. I've only heard of people offering the conversion.

Hydrographics will be happy to take money off you.

If you provide your own cylinder it will be cheaper as they won't make a profit on the cylinder and the work.

They are the only converters I know that retain the gauge.

AFAIK, to retain the gauge, the filler valve is held open when the end cap is screwed back over the filler. Perhaps not an ideal way to use and rely on one of the old style AA fill valves???

I appreciate that it is a solution to keeping the gauge, but I wasn't convinced. I weigh out 100 pellets and shoot them from a full cylinder. All gone, refill time.

You can buy new cyclinders with the quick fill fitted from Benke- Sports.

    They are around 250 euros

    Not the cheapest...

Hi I am positive Harry Preston distributer of steyr UK can get quick fill cylinders not sure on price but would be around the £230 mark that would be the route I would take. I also have heard a Pete Dutton does the conversion but supply a cylinder.

Just spoke to Simon and he will ask HP tomoorow. He said that he thought it was around 110 quid but i will confirm later in the week and post on here once i've spoken to Simon again. It sounds expensive but i suppose there's the cost of the filling probe in that.

I'm not sure on the actual trade price but I do know Karl Egger of Steyr Sport told me in Germany that they are made from the highest grade aircraft aluminium available and they have been pressure tested. They include an accurate gauge and he told me they are guaranteed not to leak.
I have thoroughly tested mine, it doesn't leak even after a prolonged period! It has held a full charge for months!
