I wondered what mag people use for FT? and why?
I shoot at 50 mag, except for standers (15 or 25 mag) and targets under 10 yards (10 mag)

    16 Mag

Everything FT (sitting, standing, kneeling) 16 Mag :D

No problems with light i.e dark targets in the dark etc.,
    40mm kill @ 55yards is a good size,
kneelers & standers much easier as wobble is not so accentuated as with high mag.
for me this the perfect mag.

    Going back to old ways

The last 3 years I've been ranging at 32X and shooting at 16X (standers 12X), but am now going to get a grip, go back to regular exercise (8km walk after work and training my daughters football team) and shoot at 32X (standers 12X) - which produced much better results ;)

60x sitters... will sometimes drop that for kneelers down to 20-30... standers on 10x at the mo.

Strangely, 40x on my custom shops for standers seems less problematic (last weekend ignored)... i wonder if it's a ret/field of view thing...

25x for sitting and kneelers, 15x for standers!
I use 25x because it gives me plenty of space on the dots on the T50 and it allows me to see the string and other wind clues whilst aiming!
15x on standers because im wobblier than a weeble on a north sea ferry!

50x for sitting shots, and the target distance for the positionals (e.g. 25x mag on 25 meters etc.)

x35 for everything as it's fixed mag. After a lot of practice I usually manage at least 50% standers and all kneelers.

    X35.

Wide enough in dark woods to find targets, near enough to pick out details.

X40 is ok, X45 is pushing it on standers and finding targets if your as blind as me!

Not really interested in Zooms anymore?

    Fixed Leups for me.:D

that's one reason i started shooting sitters on full mag, cos i forgot to turn it back up after the first shot and lost time doing it... for a good while i shot everything on 40x... as i mentioned, this seems easier on the customs than on the march, but i don't think it's the extra 20x that made the difference.

When I'm using my Leupold 40x45 Competition series it's 40 for sitters,40 for kneeling shots and turned down to 40 for standing shots. :D

    35-30x for sitters
    20-25x for kneelers
    12-20x for standers

All depends on how the wobbles are that day! :D

    Variable mag

When I had fixed mag theres not alot of choice to use then.

With the March, Ive shot alot of close sitters on 80 mag as they are right there and close for placing the ret in the right place at the time.

60 mag on targets from 40 yards onwards sitting. 50-60 mag for kneelers and 40-50 mag for standers.

The scope seems to work damn well for me on that setup as well.

If shooting in dark conditions (woods etc), then shoot sitters on 40-50. Just makes it a bit easier...
