Hi everyone, I'm interested at what everybody runs the power of there guns at in fps or ft/lb and what pellet they use. I know that some guys run the power very close to the max and have been caught out with temperature change, so i'm interested in what you run at and why.
    Thanks for the reply :D

About 770fps with JSB Exacts, just over 11ft/lb. No need to push it anymore as the gun shoots sweet, is accurate as hell and there's very little difference in aim points.

Not really a subject discused, usually due to the potential political fallout but surfice to say there is no reason at all for running rifles too close to the limit, its just madness and lays yourself open to competition unpleasentness and legal ramifications. A sensible limit is calculate a fps based on 11.5flb, that giving you a good buffer against any temperature variation.

my comp rigs don't run beyond 11.5 ft-lb

in fact for a while I was running well below that, closer to 10.7 ft-lb

that's with mozzies. With exacts I was running about 11.35 ft-lb

never been chrono'd over and i've no desire to squeeze another 15 fps out to max it out to the competition limits...

    775 - 780 fps with JSB Exact's 8.44 (4.52) or around 11.3 - 11.4 ft/lb. Currently looking at using E E's 7.9 at around 805 - 810 fps or around 11.4 - 11.5 ft/lb. Certainly wouldn't want to go any higher than that,no point as the small difference in trajectory aint worth the risk.

770-780 fps usually but during the winter the Ranger did drop to around 760 and to be honest I never noticed a difference in accuracy.I've always used 8.4 grain pellets and currently the AA S400 is running around 780 fps with AA diablos.
