Its an SKP buttplate, I ordered one from NZ shooting supplies, delivered to UK cost me about £105 and arrived within ten days.

Yes, SKP from NZ, it might be worth contacting Villiers on here, he's from NZ, and may be able to get them easier/cheaper.

A nice bit of kit that I have fitted - great service from them.
Cross your fingers it slips through customs - mine didn't :(

Did you have to pay duty? How did you get it? Is there a issue for importation of buttplate? You got me worried now.

    Cheers

Think I had to pay an extra £10 - £15 at the post office depot for it, seemed to take a while getting here - the post office hang on to it and send you a notification (and charge you for it!) that an item needs duty paying on it. All depends on the threshold, goods of over £40 in value rings a bell but don't quote me on it.
Some get through and others don't - it's worth it though for the butt plate, if you do end up paying a tad more when you compare the item/cost to what is / isn't available here in the UK.

the old e-bat trick to get around import tax is to mark the item as a "Gift"

Same here; the fact that the NZ sender writes "BUTTPLATE" on the customs sticker might have HMRC slightly uncertain about opening it...:D
