I found my pro target reg dead easy to strip and rebuild. Well took me about five attempts. But now it's a breeze. She my favorite go to rifle. She's a keeper for when my little boys ready to take up shooting, well if he wants to.( he better!!)

    I only do benchrest number 1, Weihrauch HW100 .177 , fitted with a Hawke Airmax 30 SF 8-32 x 50 . Number 2, Walther Rotex RM8 .177 , ' scope is a Hawke Vantage 6 - 24 x 50 . With both I use a Caldwell the rock jr cast iron rest at the front , with a cheap Chinese little bag filled with vermiculite ( gardening & insulation material , very light .)

Hi Andrew. I really like my hw101 more than the S400 but the S400 averages better groups than the hw101 and is less pellet fussy. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a second hand setup. Front rest, rear bag, scope, and full set of flags windcators. Which I haven't had chance to use yet. I love shooting benchrest. But my main passion is hft.

Good to hear, the rifle will want to do it’s own thing. You holding onto it only complicates the issue so the less interaction you have the better. If it’s consistently shooting low with a given hold just give the scope a couple of clicks up.
While tou’re at it, always worth trying a few different holds to see how the point of impact is affected.

    Hi Colin
The club have a rifle I can use now. All I have to do is buy the ammo and leave it in the club safe. I may even put my spare scope on it. The one I used was the benchrest caretakers rifle. Not sure he'd like me rezeroing it for him, lol. Starting to think I'm shooting more benchrest now than I'm shooting hft...

Any form of shooting is good, try them all as they're all difficult for different reasons.

As long as I'm shooting I'm happy. Just waiting for the 100/50 m range to open and I can start shooting outside benchrest. And I'll get to use my windcators that I brought and have not use yet. Hoping we get the OK soon.

Well watch the YouTube videos on how to ajust and clean up my s400 trigger unit. It was grubby in there, grease and dirt mixed together. Clean it all, debured all the part. There was some rough edges. It's alot better but first stage travel is still a bit rough. So think I'll shoot her on Thursday night and see how we go...

I used a Steyr LG-110, then an Anschutz 9015 and finally settled for a RAW TM-1000...The RAW is the most precise gun I've ever had/shot and is not pellet fussy as the other 2 guns...I just won the US Nationals with this gun.

    Regards,

    AZ

Azuaro well done on the win in the US Nationals. How long have you have the TM-1000. I was offered one a few months back.
