Can I give the Anston team the award for the hardest course I have ever shot, fantastic and imaginative are just two descriptions, Devilish and tricky are two more.

I loved it, even if like most today, I hated the resulting score.

One to talk about and remember for some time to come

Tell you what it was the Badgers nadgers this weekend......

Started off with a good old plinking sesh on saturday day time with awesome company camping at Anston that night...bbQ banter fires and a good craic.

Had a good look through some scopes as im on the buy for some glass (chickened out out of using the AEtec in the end :D ) but think i'll go back to the Bushnell 6500 :)

The course was a blinder and i dont think people should feel to down about a lower than par score that was testament to the thought and energy put in.....i had great company for the days shoot dave and Dopper .

    WELL DONE ANSTON

Just got home and would like to congratulate the winners and above all, the course setters, who must have an alliance with the devil himself to put out a course like that.
A special thanks to Mark Gill for shooting round with Kyle and myself, Top Company.

Thanks to Anston for 1 of the best courses I have ever shot on, very very challenging.

Thanks also to Phil & Ant for being my shooting buddies today, just a bit unfortunate for us that Roy T. was also shooting our peg.

Well done to all the winners.

Same as really, Anston should be very proud of themselves for that course it was a monster. Big thanks to Ryan and Andrea for the crackin curry and putting me up. Well done to all the winners, I'd be happy with a 58/60 on that course far more than 60/60 on others:D

Finally well done to my arch enemy The Chiller, you shot well today mate and next week I'm going to destroy you:D:D:D

It was a great pleasure to host the event at Anston this weekend.

We are blessed with a number of members who enjoy designing and setting the courses almost as much as shooting them, and a number of members who are happy to help run the shoots.

As I almost managed to say in the speech, they all played their part in making the weekend what you saw.

I can only apologise again for the erratic catering, this was, sadly, largely out of our control.:(

Not having seen the Devils Ridge in detail till very late Friday, I was delighted by the looks on the faces of some shooters when they saw it today too!:D

Great company on the Camping, a proper fireside evening.

A quick thanks to everyone who helped leave the site clean and tidy if I may, it made the teardown a lot easier.:)

The problem is what the hell do we do to top it next time? Believe me, there were already ideas floating around while we were dismantling the Course today.

Thanks once again for coming to enjoy UKAHFT @ Anston.

    Richard.

PS Thanks to Ryan and Andrea for the wonderful curry!

I've never been so knackered after this weekend and must say that I am now sick of the site of Anston (in a nice way). My score showed that I was the victom of our own success as I put in the lowest score I've had since starting HFT but I'm not too upset as comments like the ones recieved make it all worth while and we couldn't have done it without you all turning up and shooting so a big thanks to everyone for that.

    Dave

P.S A special thanks to Glynn for filling in at the chrono when needed and I hope the wasp sting has stopped swelling bud that looked sore.

Well done to Anston crew for a top class course, spent the day marshaling on peg 16 and never realised so many people were scared of heights. Hope your feeling ok now Jenny and have stopped shaking.

Well what can you say after shooting that course today? That will take some beating!!!

Thanks to the Anston crew for the most testing course that I have ever shot!

No 16 was easy!! I shot it but I am still not sure how....

BUT number 17 in the Kennel??? cmon could anyone really see the kill? please supply carrots or a lamp next time please.:D :D

The Devils ridge just mashed everyones head to pieces as you were working the true horizontal distance, then allowing for lack of gravity, and before you knew it youre calculations had become just a pure guess!! Good stuff!

Oh yes and well done to Steve Whiting who shot with us, for the win in the springer class....that guy can shoots a springer like a natural!

    Dean .
