I do like my AIM FT100 bag, however they are like huge sponges in the rain so I was thinking of spraying the bag with something like NikWax TX Direct, but then wondered if a waterproof liquid for a Cabrio Soft top like Renovo would be better

Has any one else successfully treated a Ft100 bag ?

I used Fabsil Spray on my FT100. Colourless and dries quickly. Did the job easily with no wiping down afterwards as you have to do with TX-Direct. 400 ml can from Screwfix, Go Outdoors etc, was enough to do the bag, my boots and still some to spare for the fishing Brolly.

doesn,t itch, i usually have a spray with it in when i go the gp,s , plenty of the lads have now got waterproof boots, i waterproof ALL my shooting/hunting gear and it certainly hasnt let me down, cracking stuff, infact when i shot with mr hague in the pissing down rain he couldnt understand why my bag was dry yet his was soaked, for £26 a gallon its the best value stuff on the market

a little tip when using Fabsil, spray it on using something like a small garden sprayer , make sure you fully coat the garment and its totally covered then take it indoors , hang up on a coat hanger and let it dry naturally, once dry if its the first time your doing it then give it a second coat of Fabsil and again let it dry naturally, the item wil certainly be waterproof, it is odourless and clear so wont stink the house out lol, give the garment a top up every couple of months to ensure it holds its waterproofing capabilities , its brilliant on walking boots and tents also,

    good luck

do not buy the spray, you will get a pair of boots out of it,buy the gallon for £26 and put it in a spray bottle, you will be able to waterproof everything you wear and for a few years at that
