I think (not 100%) that is what has been done. The LG300 reg with a longer extension to fit into the valve area.

As I hardly use mine these days, I'll probably stick it up on Sales sometime, so keep an eye out for it. It's not worth keeping what with dive tanks, testing etc to use maybe 8 times a year :-(.
May well just use a springer for those outings. Love that Walther, more than any PCP I've ever owned.

I already thought that Walther uses an adapter in between the LG300 regulator and the valve seal in the LG400.
I recently found the adapter ring as an orignal Walther part : 2833182 ADAPTERRING FIELD TARGET LG400FT-2833182 U
    Adapterring Field Target LG400FT 2833182 Picture1262.jpg

According to the text in German:
"Der Adapterring der aus Kunststoff besteht, ist für die Version Field Target um einen 16 Joule Druckregler vom LG300 XT (Art. Nr. 2693038 ) an dieses Model anzubringen."
    In English that would mean:
"The adapter ring from plastic polymer, is meant for the Field Target version to mount a pressure regulator from the LG300 XT (Art. Nr. 2693038 ) to this model."

That says it all, doesn't it?
To make the LG400 field target rifle Walther uses the same type of adapter to mount the standard 16 Joule LG300 regulator to the LG400 Field Target that many LG400 users have used over the past years. It's made of plastic, where the adapters I have seen are made of aluminium.

Wonder why they couldn't get the "absorber" to work?

    The price point looks great.

Is that with the airstripper/muzzle brake in place?

I wanted the one in blue tho Colin, I don't think I could handle or get to grips with the silver one.
