Is it correct that I can turn up at a wafta competition and enter it just by stating the club I belong to or do I need a card with its relevant membership number

You need to hold a BFTA card to enter a WAFTA shoot too mind for insurance.

Which club are you at? You would need to speak to Simon he manages the bfta cards.

    Very Strange.

Wafta has a policy that if your not a Bfta card holder, you cant shoot wafta shoots.
This was not enforced today, but certainly will be at the Oaktree shoots!

Dave is aware of this. I suggest you go have another word with him as it was the case that part of your membership of Tondu included the 33.50 for a bfta card, least that's how it was for many many years. Perhaps its changed lately?

Your Bfta card can only be applied for via your club, or at least your club sec (Dave) has to confirm to me you are a fully paid up member.
You could then pay me direct, when you see me or send me a cheque.

Hope that helps, as your club does not seem to want to!
Not like it was when I Ran it!

    Hi Simon
Thank you for the information, I only paid £25 for my membership as we were half way through the year I guess it means they would be at a loss if they applied for my card at £33.50, I would happily pay up for the privilege to shoot.

I will have to try and contact Dave, would you have is mobile number so I could text him only see him on the odd Saturday.
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    Haydn

Agreed club's should be confirming cards for shooters not know and for the sake of £3.50 I don't think this should be an issue for club's to arrange.
