Oaktree fTC for rd 14 on sunday August 3rd
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I would have been quite happy to leave the line at Oaktree as it has been for a year or more now for the upcoming shoot.
But Tosh fancied a change so braught it in.
Gone back to the original top of bank line that Big Mike set up, with a little extension.
Myslef, Tosh, Gary the defector and Gadget put in just a couple of hours tomight but got a good amount done.
Sunday hopefully will see us get most if not all the targets out?
Should be a good course, all full size kills.
couple of short standers, couple of long ones.
Not sure where Kneelers are going as yet.
Some nice angles too, which will mean a few Cross strings, but it will be worth it as the lane will make you think from lane to lane.
Stunning setting and the Road is fully graded these days due to the windmill installations.
A work party last sunday and another small session today means just 9 targets are to go out next week.
Got to say I think the course looks superb, lots of long hard testers with a few gimmie targets every couple of lanes to keep the hit rate up (Thinking of Little Jack here lol) .
Plates are either lanes of Black faceplates, yellow or white. Used all 3 so where you can see more than your lanes targets, you will be able to work out if the pegs are painted yellow, the targtets are yellow, you don't shoot the black one (Thinking of many here lol).
Done some foxhole digging so hopefully the off Left hander (Thinking Chubby here, and very odd lol) will not be disadvantaged on any lane.
Disciplines mixed from shortis to longish. Testers to sort the wheat from the Bertty lol
No mini kills on this course, so may if time allows put together a minin main side shoot around the back of the Cabin? 3 lanes of 4 targets ? TBA!!
unless he shoots, we putting up Big Mikes Walter as side shoot prize lol.
Come on Mike, Be nice to see you on form so blow the cobwebs out of it!
No Dogs allowed at Oaktree FTC.
Main shoot Start time sunday 9.30am.
Zero range and side shoot open 9am.
Post code please
Mix of wind, some shots out of kill, seemed quite allot inside the kill, but diffenet edge from lane to lane!
Good day to test your ability in reading the wind.
