such a lot of negativity towards someone that believes in something strongly enough and is not afraid to voice thier opinion.....
Lucky us Vegans are a forgiving bunch and understand that everyone ultimately is good at heart .
Once you go vegan you will never go back to the shameful cruelty that your meat eating lifestyle inflicts upon the harmless creatures of our wonderful world.

If that’s your beliefs just get on with it, but don’t try and convert me ;);)

Erm - Veganism isn't just about not eating meat (that's Vegetarianism) Vegan is no animal products - i.e. milk (& dairy products) & a true Vegan doesn't eat almonds (or their products) either. Think that it also covers use of animal products in their everyday life, like gelatin, leather, beeswax, honey etc. etc.
Not sure as to whether Vegans consume palm oil - because that industry is really fouling up the wildlife in the parts of the world that produces it.
But as 'miketowler' above says, "If that's your beliefs just get on with it, but don't try and convert me"

The vegan society says they should not consume or use anything that comes from or exploits animals, almonds are grown in an area that requires bee hives to be brought in to pollinate the crop and they see this as animal exploitation,

If you have your way, you do realize that you will be causing the extinction of all animals that are used for food. No one would keep cows or any other livestock and they certainly wouldn't be roaming around free. Also, if you're in to evolution, it's the eating of meat that caused the early hominids to evolve into what they are today. Apparently, if not for the eating of meat, we'd still be up a tree.:D

Give it a few decades with all the pesticides killing off pollinating insects and this will be a reality for fruit farming, does this mean that they will give up apples, oranges etc.?
Also I don’t get the exploitation bit; the bees are brought to a free feast where the pollen is close and plentiful which gives them food? o_O

This is either a great wind up or an idiot who probably should not have access to a gun. I bet they eat things that are made to look like meat but have an issue with an animal shaped inert object? This is why vegans are ridiculed for their moral outrage
