Hi my mk3 tx is shooting about 11.95 to 11.97 pounds.pellet velocity is about 795 to 797 FPS with 8.4 jsb pellets as I shoot FT
This is a bit too close for comfort what’s the best way to drop the power a bit thanks in advance.

I'm guessing ,Most people would probably decrease spring preload as a first step

If you have access to a lathe, reducing the length of the piston weight would do the trick, and also reduce recoil a little in the process.

Better would be to replace the piston weight with a conventional acetal/Delrin front spring guide, and preload the spring to get the muzzle energy you require. That would give a substantial reduction in recoil.

Is this easy to do as I’ve only taken the spring and guide out to clean and regrease so far

Remove spring and check if any preload washers have been fitted (steel/delrin washers between spring and guide). If so remove one and power should drop. If steel top hat fitted remove and replace with thinner delrin one (timbum tuning)

    Hi spike

I Adjusted mine buy removing the pre load washers aiming for about 11.4 pounds to be on the safe side. Some pellets may push your gun over the legal limit at 11.97.

    All the best Steve
