Twas a quite day apart from getting clobbered with lessons. For the few stalwarts that turned in
there was some reasonable shooting conditions very light wind, however the fog required an element of guess work particularly on the longer tgts lol

    Hi,

I'm not sure if anybody knows, but my 'little girl', Alisha, is a bit disabled. Because of this, it is not a good idea for her to lay in the 'prone' position.

She seems to really like shooting and Treetops seems to have become 'our club'. We are collecting her new gun this coming Friday, setting up Saturday, HFT club Sunday at Treetops.

I'm putting this out there because she maybe 'seen' as having an advantage due to the position she needs to shoot in for her disability. Basically kneeling on a mat resting the gun on a stool to keep her neck straight.

We will be trying to find some other ways for her to shoot in a more 'normal' way, but that will take time. Her new gun is a Brocock Contour XL, a very light gun that she can use rather than mine that is to big for her! This smaller gun may help her to find a better position to shoot from, but she will never be able to lay 'prone' or be very steady in the standing position.

We will understand if people have a problem with this when it comes to club point scoring, but it would be nice to know if anybody minds her shooting from this position?

Phil and Paula, I know your cool with this .

    Thanks,
    Rob.

Don't let it worry you .

Let her shoot & have fun in any position she can .

The main over riding factor is that she is out there enjoying herself !

Those who may feel threatened by your little girl shooting different positions need to get a life ....

Not every one is born perfect .

Just keep supporting her , while she enjoys the sport we all love .

I'm with Gerry on this as long as Alisha is enjoying herself, don't worry about anything else

"I rest my case" lol (thanks Gerry & Darryl)
Ok this is a competitive sport we're playing, However I would like to believe we're all doing it for "ENJOYMENT", the fun of it.
So why would anyone mind if Alisha is having fun shooting ? and if they do mind then they are not welcome at Treetops.
Once Alisha's new gun turns up then we can start work finding out her strengths and pushing her scores up
which may give any "Wingers"a fright lol.

Phil , yes its competitive , but some guys go way over the top & lose the original fun concept .

Yes , I like to win , but even more , I like seeing people have fun .

Trust me , if I have any dealings with one of these whingers .... he'll have a face full of me to deal with .

I'm chuffed to bits that the young lady is shooting .

The fact she's having fun is a bonus & if she whips some sorry assed whinger... so much the better .

Phil , you guys have a great set up , & its so good to see you supporting the family part of air gun shooting .

Clearly Darryl feels the same as I do .

    Go for it matey !!!

I have to say I agree wholeheartedly with the above comments. It's the getting out there, taking part and most importantly, having fun and enjoying yourself that counts.
It's good to see another youngster getting involved in the sport.
Well done Alisha, keep it up.

    See you Sunday.

Thank you guys for your suport, Alisha is well chuffed with the feelings of the club :D

The collection day has come forward a day for her, so Thursday is the day she gets her first gun, a brand new gun !!! I wish my first gun was a brand new one !!

We do what we can for our kids and Alisha has been through HELL and back over the last 18 months. She's well pumped up for Thursday. She even asked if we could buy some knockdown targets !! We bought two nice ones in Sportsman today, with more to come when we can find some.

The guys at Custom sporting mats are even making her a pink !!! gun bag.

Her family over Carmarthen own a farm, so on a summers day, a dozen knockdowns and the sun on our backs, I think it will be fantastic !! :D

    Thanks.
