Well Done Jack .Top Shooting this morning @ Sywell
Colin and I had two excellent mentors to go round with.
Plenty of encouragement. Endless banter. And shed-loads of disinformation.
Seriously, thank you to Neil, Chris and yourself for a good morning.
Well.........what did he score?
More than 4
A well deserved 28/40:shot:
Well done Jack...
As you said, many months ago, "persist, get an FT scope, and it will start to come together."
You were right, of course; but added to that I have receive an immense amount of encouragement and support. And some very pertinent coaching from Mr P. [he of Fruit & Nut fame]
For all of which I am very grateful,
:shot: [he of Fruit & Nut fame]. At last someone who discribes me to a "T":shot:oo
a great mornings shooting, and a pleasure to shoot the round with yourself and our two " instructors ", col.
28 is a cracking score Jack!
Was pretty windy at Purley how was the wind at Sywell?
Not too bad in the Garden, Ryan, but it certainly picked up out on the Bank, with some rain, toward the end.
Not a bad day by Sywell standards, but a bit unpredictable, nevertheless.
I got caught out a couple of times giving it wind which wasn't there. My inexperience showing through.
But I suspect one or two other people may have been caught out in a similar manner.
I'll have to get up to Purley in the New Year. Before the WL shoot in February.
I may see you at Greyhound during the week.
I might be at the hound tomorrow 11-ish if you fancy knocking a few over.
Then possibly thurs or friday.
Very well done Jack, its all coming together
The trouble with things 'all-coming-together' Nick, is that in my experience, they can just as easily 'all-fall-apart' again too.
And I'm still a long way off your two debut Winter League scores. o
I have put those down to beginners luck, but as someone once said "the more you practise the luckier you get"
