Tight turrets big n mk1

    I havent used the scope much and as far as im aware neither did the previous guy who bought it new. Both elevation and windage turrets seem to stiffen up and you have to use a bit of pressure to move them , and rotate back and forth to enable dialling? I can use the scope .put it back in the slip and next outing they will stiffen again. Any advice appreciated,thanks.

    Whip the elevation turret off, you will see an O ring, typicly about 12mm dia, odds are its dry, either relube with silicone grease or whio it out depending on taste.

    As o is next to p on the keyboard, that will be "Whip it out" then. ;)

    I thought the same. However i assume the o ring should be fitted?:)

    No they click nicely without the oring. Not needed and serves no function other than to make the turret a tight fit.
    Whio it put...sorry whip it out :D

    Removed the o rings,much better. Thanks all.:)

    Keep the oring in the windage turret, less chance of accidental movement!
