As the over-friendly Wood-Elf Fargoth says in Morrowind, Greetings and Salutations!

As you may have guessed from my Username i am the offspring of HotShot AKA Dave Semmens AKA Mr ImAlwaysComingSecondThisYear.

My name is Chris and i'm making a return to the shooting circuit after a long period of absence, albeit with some sporadic occasional shoots.

Back in my early shooting days as a junior i had many highlights, the best of which included coming third in the junior category at the World Field Target Championships in 2005, winning C grade in my first winter league, coming second by one target to win a GP and being part of the Nefta Team at the Inter-Regionals at the age of 15, and finally, but by no means least, winning the junior category and coming second in A grade at the Nefta Classic.

I'm approaching 22 years of age and i think its been a long enough wait for a return to the game, i'm looking forward to the banter to be had this winter in the winter league and naturally, hitting some targets in the process!

So gentlemen, prepare yourselves, because i'm coming back with a vengeance!

If your as good as Dad AND can hit 20 yards standers, welcome back Champion:).

Dad will have to get used to 3rd place next year!

So what you planning on shooting comp wise?

Chris - just one rule - what happens on here, stays on here

If your mum finds out about all the money I spend she will kill me ;)

Don't worry Dave, i've added 000 to the swear filter so it's replaced with 00, and likewise 00 has been replaced with 0, and 0 with a pint. :D

    Welcome back Chris :)

    Depends..

Suppose it all depends on if my dad is doing them next year and what i'm doing at the time. It would be nice to qualify for the showdown, i've only been once back when i was 15..had to shoot with Mr Calpin after a few rounds and ended up getting him into a shootoff. It still took him a good 6 or 7 targets to beat me then :p

But yeah, i would like to shoot some next year. The winter league will be fun but it will be very relaxed shooting without reducers or time restraints to targets.I am actually hoping i can qualify for the Inter-Regional Team. I like competitive shooting; i enjoyed the Combined Clubs Cup Challenge we just did last weekend, that had a 1 minute for two targets format and it was a great experience.

I've got no problem with that Trev. I'll just smile when i tell you my score and i see the realisation on your face that i've beaten you.

    :D

That a big enough smile for ya?

Chris I cannot believe Trev did NOT mention the £1 for the RAFFLE ticket at the shoots, He's slipping in his old age so I guess you will have no probs in beating him.:D

I was aware of the raffle, just never had to bother previously as my dad would always buy a ticket or two. I'll be sure to buy some this year though, its all a bit of fun.

You do realise that your eyesight deteriorates from the age of seven, you may already have left it too late. lol
