The world field target championships held in the Heart of England.
I am sorry for all the shooters shooting / participateing at the world's in Poland who will be engaging there thoughts only on arranging travel and accommodation this year.
But for the rest who are not start dreaming. The venue for 2019 world champs will be in the Heart of England ( doesn't that sound good) 6 minutes from the m6, with fantastic scope for superb shooting.
This means traveling by road or air should be easily accessible.
The landscape and terrain looks superb. After Wales last year we have a lot to do to make it as good. Buts the initial signs look very promising.
Wishing the organisers and all those involved all the very best .

Only 2 days swapping. You still have the 3rd day after that.

The sessions are going to alternate over the 3 days of shooting - no long walks and no one is going to miss any of the action or feel left out.

This will not only be a top class international sporting event - it'll also have a fun/relaxed social aspect to it too.
Make a note in your calendar ( early August, 2019 ) and whatever you do - you do not want to miss this one.

    Hi Doz

Yes we have booked the venue, but we are not quite ready to announce the exact dates just yet.
But don't worry, they will be announced in plenty of time to be able to get a cheap early booking on a flight / hotel etc.

Don't forget there's still a good 18 months before the event, so what I'd recommend doing would be to have a look around at what hotels are in the area. There are more hotels than you could shake a stick at and something to cater for every budget.

For our international friends, now might be a good time to start looking at which airport you might like to fly into and have a think about what other attractions in the UK you might also want to visit. East Midlands and Birmingham Airports are the closest.

You're dead right to be getting excited about the event though - it is going to be amazing!!!
Keep an eye out for future announcements.

Even for those who have to fly into Heathrow, it is a very easy drive up the M40.

I confess, I've already been looking at hotels and on Airbnb.

It was an easy drive for me, it's not far off the motorway and the roads to it are good.

the great news is the sessions are being swapped which can only be fair and also "no-one is gonna miss any of the action " this is the best news i,ve heard yet, because at the worlds at Glanusk i shot the pm session everyday and when walking the course early morning found the wind was considerably LESS in the morning compared to the Gales in the afternoon, also day three became very disappointing because the shootoffs were taking place whilst the PM shooters were out on the course, Totally enjoyed the whole experience but NOT being able to watch the shootoffs was so disappointing it actually made the day 3 PM shooters feel we were not part of the world championships,,day 3 was just a total rush to shoot the course ,get back to hotel, get changed and rush off to the hotel for a piss-up, shame really because the rest of the welsh world championships was brilliant,
a point would be to have the presentation evening on day 4,that way everyone is more relaxed and everyone can certainly enjoy it more but the Glanusk experience on a whole was the best few days shooting i have ever had so well done the welsh

Don't worry about the schedule for the moment Bob, I can tell you that when we do announce it, you're not going to be disappointed.

For the moment though just imagine sitting out here on a sunny August afternoon, sipping your Pimm's and having a laugh with FT with shooters from all over the World (potentially 40 countries!).
