The Shires 100 will take place on 23 May 2010 at the Sywell range, Northants.

After the success of the inaugural shoot last year, the Shires 100 will run to the same rules, again with a fantastic 100 target course. Hosted by sywell and ran by Sywell, Hereward and Dowry Hill FT clubs its a must for the shooting calendar.

Everybody is welcome FT, HFT, sporting etc.

Full details will be available shortly, but in the meantime please use this email for early booking.

Dont miss this great shoot, designed to be great fun as well as testing the skill and endurance of everyone who takes part.

Many thanks and on behalf of Sywell, Hereward and Dowry Hill we look forward to seeing you there.

    Cheers

    Chris

    HI Chris.

I think last time it was a shotgun start at 10:00.
50 shot course in the morning - break for lunch and then the remaining 50 shots in the afternoon.
You read it correctly, this is a 100 target course!!!!
So basically its an all day event.

Full details will be online soon.

Cheers, and thanks for the interest.

    Chris

At least a couple from tondu on the way, probably be more after a chat at club in the morning.

If I shoot my TmNjr, will have to take the 3lt bottle with me around the course lol!

Out of interest, what is entry price?

Hopefully it will be a tenner, as per last year. If all goes to plan thats:

    • 100 targets/50 lanes. Mainly normal targets but we include the odd-balls (17yd 10mm sparrow anyone?:D)
    • Burger van on site all day
    • Free raffle for all entrants**
    • Prizes in grades AA, A, B, C, Piston and Sporting

**Just had confirmation: the top prize in the raffle will be an AAS400, thanks to support from Air Arms again

I already have nearly 1/3 of places booked, so sign up quickly if you want a place!

    Email your booking to: shires100@herewardftc.co.uk

Looks to be a good day in prospect. I know a few from Tondu are looking forward to it:)

That 10ml target, can you move it out a bit further as i tend to be more accurate past 30m!

I don't think it's any easier when it's not around.

The best I can hope for is getting 2/3 sections right there. After a few years I've almost managed a clear on all 3. However, it's been over 3 different shoots :D

At least on that bank you can sort of just hang it out and have fun, but that bloody garden drives me nutts... i think i got out of there last year with just a few shots lost and that was by far my best.
