    Not many, not specific...

Think before you post, this is a public forum.

    No pictures of dead animals.

Inflammatory, defamatory, derogatory or dispruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. A certain amount of banter et al is acceptable, however content will be moderated if it is deemed over the line or reported by the target as not being wanted.

It is better if posts that offend are reported to the moderation team (by clicking the warning triangle top right) rather than replied to, so the moderation team can deal with the issue itself. If you feel something has not been dealt with to your liking, feel free to pm a mod.

Posts will be moderated without explanation where the moderater feels the reasoning is obvious , however please feel free to contact the moderators/admin should you not understand why this may has happened.

Over hyping or spamming of the board about products will require a donation of the product to the board for testing to substantiate the claims made.

Spamming of useless junk will mean a permanent ban.

Sales are carried out at your own risk to yourself and your reputation. There are rules that govern that sub forum.

Just so people are clear, below is what you agreed to when you made your account, it has never been changed.

    Forum Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules:

Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the forums index.

Although the administrators and moderators of Shooting the breeze will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Shooting the breeze, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Shooting the breeze reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

    By using this sub-forum you agree to the following ;

that you indemnify the owners and staff of these forums from any legal or financial consquences of using this site.

that you agree to abide by the law when selling or purchasing and that this is the responsibility of both parties to ensure this is done.

that you are confirming over eighteen and are not prohibited to purchase under section 21 of the firearms act.

that adverts are for non-trade purposes only.

    The following items are not allowed for sale here ;

Any item not legally allowed to be sold in the UK, including items which infringe copyright.
Replica guns or Blank firing guns.
    Animals or Plant material.
    Tobacco and Alcohol.
    Knives.
    Pharmacuticals.

Only posts by sellers and buyers in this forum. Sales and wanted posts are to be left alone. Poaching off sales threads via pm or hijacking sales threads will result in sales access being lost.
Deliberately interfering with a sales thread with less than bona fide replies may result in a loss of sales or board access, either temporarily or on a permanent basis.

Sellers must state their location as defined by their post/zip code in their profile.

Sales and wants are for airgun and shooting related items only.*

The only correspondence on a sales/wanted thread should be to do with interested parties, not 3rd parties.
Do not respond to say PM or email sent.
Whatever method of communication to confirm a deal should be stated on the thread, and also how the final buyer will be determined if there is the potential for multiple parties to conflict.

You must state a price if an item is for sale.

In no way should items be offered as an auction or off-thread advice as to price be solicited. If you do not know the asking price, ask in the relevent section, however soliciting for offers via PM or otherwise, or threads that the moderation team feel do such will be removed from any section without notice.

Auctions, or items offered for sale to best offer, as before are not acceptable and will continue to be deleted without notice.

Reverse auctions. Items offered for sale over and above the considered normal price with the invitation to accept offers may be deemed a reverse auction and deleted without notice.

The price is the asking price, if offers are acceptable or not that should be stated. If items are found to be sold above the price stated then that will invoke a suspension from the site.

If items are for sale elsewhere that should be stated on the thread.

No items are to be offered for sale or to be purchased on behalf of someone else.

If the item is for swap, then it should be only considered as such. If the item is for sale, it should only be considered as such. Both are allowed in the same thread, however "what have you got" type swaps will not be allowed.

Items offered for sale or swap and then retracted after a deal is agreed may lose the seller or buyer access to the marketplace for an indefinite period. Communication off site cannot be verified.

Withdrawing from an agreed deal carried out on here can result in sales or complete board access being removed for an indefinite and undetermined period.

To reduce the likelihood of complaints about deals being broken, buyers and sellers should stipulate and agree a deadline by which time they expect a response or a deal to be complete.

    * In exceptional circumstances, for example charity, we may allow adverts to be for non shooting related products, however in the mainstream this area will only be for shooting related items.

An infringement of any of the above policies will invoke suspension of access to the site. We reserve the right to remove adverts without notice, even when they may not contravene the above.

I have read, and agree to abide by the Shooting the breeze rules.

If the amount of threads you start or posts you make in the for sale section is deemed to heavily outweigh your contribution to the forum as a whole then it will be restricted until a balance created. The amount will not be published but the admin team have been made aware.

This will only affect a small amount of the membership.

Beg like a bitch until Conor or Rob relent.

Alternatively, do like the rest of us and make enough contributing posts to be considered worthy. Otherwise, you're screwed.......

Aiding and abetting non members or members who cannot see sales.

This will result in you losing some or all access to the board on a temporary or permanent basis. If you are approached by a person who for whatever reason cannot access the forum or particularly Sales/Wanted and wants you to act as an intermediary for information or any form of communication with matters on this board then you should decline and notify us.
