Just a short update.
So far we have 46 confirmed competitors for the nightshoot and 64 for the dayshoot with a possible extra of 17 (these are not confirmed yet). So it is taking off quiet well and Team Schalkhaar is already very busy with all arrangements which are needed for the event. Since this one size bigger than our normal competitions we need soem extra's to host you all in a good manner and as far as it stand we have the big picture ready. But the devil is in the detail and still a lot to do!
The grounds are getting greener by the day now!
Some more information for you all after recieving some questions:
1. What time does the BBQ on Friday night start and are drinks included in the price?
We are welcoming shooters from 5 pm onwards. We will light up the BBQ around that time and when people are coming in they can pick up their BBQ package and start BBQ-ing anytime they like. Drinks are not included to the price, we tried to keep it low in price as possible with a good BBQ.
2. What time does the BBQ and Night shoot start?
BBQ, see above, no real fixed time, people can start when the want. The Nightshoot will be as follows: The zeroing range will open around 8 – 8.30 pm, briefing for the night shoot will be around 10 pm, start shoot will be around 10.30 pm.
3. On the Saturday what time does the club open for people to plink and are we still ok for the 10.30 - 11am start?
The zeroing range will open at 9 am, the briefing for the shoot will be 10.30 am and the shoot will start at 11.00 am. We have now 96 shooters on the list and we will close submission. We think we will end up with 90 shooters, so squads of 3 on 30 lanes. We will do just one round, so everybody will be finished at the same time. Presentations are done after wards, and also the raffle.
4. Will there be food and drink avaliable for people to purchase before and after the shoot?
For sure! No doubt about that! We have arranged a couple of things for this besides our regular cantine, we can host all shooters and water and feed them .
Since we want to make the UK shooters feel right at home, we've started our rain dances this week. It's very unfortunate that we usually have dry and sunny weather around this time of year, but we tried our best.

Bedankt....the motorhome is booked, the ferry is booked and not long to go now.

-On a number of lanes/targets the use of flash lights will be prohibited. We will take care on alternative lightning
Laser lamps, night vision, light ammunition, tracers or other electric aids are not allowed. Only LED, Cree or light bulbs are allowed to use.
Today the serious preparation phase started. Preparing the targets. On Tuesday we will prepare the grounds. Today was a day of cleaning, painting, repairing, woodwork, metalwork, sun, sweat and laughter. Some pictures as an impression.
Nice pictures Jo!
For the UK shooters, we have air bottles available for use, so no need for you to bring. Make sure you have a filling plug with a foster with you if you want to use our air bottles.
Sunny and dry all the way through next weekend. Rain dances didn't work. Sorry.
What a shame!! We couldn't get the rain dance to work either!!!
Looking forward to coming and shooting with you.
