Since September 2013, air rifles with a muzzle energy less than 20 joules (14 ft lbf) can be acquired by persons over age 18 and no licence is required. (Previously the limit was 10 joules.) For air rifles of 20 joules muzzle energy or more, a hunting licence or club shooting licence is required. owever, hunting or pest control with air guns is illegal in France.

There is likely to be around 8 of us in a minibus travelling from the midlands. Can anyone tell us what they think the best route for us to take, ferry or eurotunnel?

    Six and two threes Mick.

Eurotunnel tends to be quicker, cheaper and less hassle. I like the ferry, but Eurotunnel is quicker.

Ash, what deal are you getting for the tunnel, as its always been twice the price of the ferry for me?
I go Dover-Dunkirk, its the cheapest for me and you get a couple of hours kip.

Hi Dop and Jennie, You should look at Harwich-Hook of Holland. Get on the night boat, Food and a few drinks in the bar and then a cabin for the night.

    HOT NEWS!!!

Air Arms have this afternoon confirmed that not only will they be providing some superb trophies for their very first international HFT competition - they have also very generously donated one of their HFT 500 rifles for the post-shoot prize draw!

How good is that!! (as if you needed another reason to slope off to Holland this summer for a weekend of first-rate HFT shooting :))

That's really good news! A bit of a shame that I am a recoil lover, but the HFT500 rifle is a beauty and worth coming for.
