Am quite keen on acquiring the TESRO Pro., and have requested more info.again, from the company on when they intend to launch a dedicated FT rifle along the lines of the Walther LG300 Dominator used in FT in 12 lb/ft. ...

It looks promising, as Daniel Roemer says in Nov./09 "..we are planing to sell a RS100 with higher energy.."

For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, in a nut shell TESRO was set up by 2 former Walther employees some years back...

Here's the link to their pdf Catalogue 2010:

Anyone in the UK shoot these 10m rifles ? or had theirs power uprated for FT comps ? if so...any feedback is appreciated...:D

Probably 4 maybe more years ago now Jon Sykes at Hydrographcs was planning to convert and sell Tesro but he couldn't get them to run properly not sure exactly why.

    Tesro

Last year I was shooting with a Tesro RS100 and I can tell you it is a superb gun! Only problem I had is its power, as it was only 6 ft/sec (we have this category in the Hungarian FT).
Only problem I had and therefore decided to sell it is, I had nobody in Hungary who was able to convert it to 12 ft/sec. Now there is a gunsmith who is able to do, but the gun has been sold :(

    Oh, forgot to mention....
I was speaking with the Tesro team in March on the IWA. They are not planning to have an FT version of the gun, they are too small Company they said....

You mean they cant be bothered, dead easy to do but far from sorted.

Looked at them 5 years ago but no response rang alarm bells should anything go seriously wrong!

Found a pic from an Italian FT forum, but seems he just slotted in a Walther action ! :D

So I suppose the power mod route aint going to work on the Tesro action itself..

yes, you are quite correct :D

Indeed, the BASIC model frame seems to be the older frame from the RS100 offered years gone back when there was only 1 model in the range...

...whereas the newer ECO and PRO (mid to high priced) frames, have the upright barrel/cylinder protector similar to the Walther's...and obviously a completely redesigned alu frame...

When there was only 1 Tesro RS100 design (old) .... with forward barrel/cylinder protector and 'Tesro' engraved on stock... are now labelled/rebadged 'BASIC'....under the new range of 3 rifles offered.
