Video of Dave Benyons Extreme HFT shoot at Tawd Vale.

I'd like to thank Dave as he puts an awful lot of work into this every year and never gets to shoot it.

Good video but was suprised to see people putting pellets in their mouths (looked like that anyway)

We have pellet pouches in NEFTA - you guys should try them ;)

Probably the reason people where holding their second pellet in their lips is it was a knockout comp against the clock, your shooting partner had a stop watch, you had one minute to shoot both targets in the lane from the same position! I put in the equal high score of 37/40 in the first round, i was paired with Keiran Lewis for the second round who i shared the top score from the first round with. An early lead dissapeared with the gun slipping on the peg and Young Keiran Knocked me out! You can get away with mistakes against people like that.

DB loved every minute of it, seeing peoples faces when they first sighted a target

Well done to Rammy on the win.

    Cheers Simon.

Yes I was rather shocked to see that, lead poisoning is not a pleasant thing

I've seen the queues at the washbasins at the end of shoots.

Then there's those who just wipe their lead pellet smeared fingers on their burger before putting it in their mouth.

Each to their own I suppose - I will stick to using my pouch as it worked well enough in the showdowns I shot (1 min for 2 targets including ranging and dialing)

This is the first time I have ever seen it done in over 10 years of competitive shooting.

Bear in mind alot of these guy's are HFT only (used to 2 mins per shot) and relatively little experience in showdown type conditions - some of the guy's really seem to feel the pressure of the stopwatch :D- hence trying to save a second. In reality a minute is bags for 2 shots, especially when you are not adjusting the scope. 45 seconds would put pressure on, 30 seconds would be really tough considering the courses:D
