I'm thinking drive up early Saturday morning & then shoot 2nd round(can i be in the 2nd round please Pete ;) ) , then off to the campsite like you say for the Sunday... multimap says 4 1/2 hrs... on a good journey..leave at 5-530am i reckon.. gives me a couple of hours to relax before the 2nd round.. I hope..

Steve on those timings you are looking at hitting Birmingham between 7 and 8am, not a good place to be even on a Saturday morning;)

I go through there frequently on route to Manchester, prefer to get through before 7am as from then on its wacky races and West Mids Police have a nasty habit of closing half the soddin motorway if some prat falls off the road and then its easy to get stuck. Leave early get to Tawd and crashout for a couple of hours, wake up when you smell the bacon butties cooking:D:D:D:D:D

Now i like that idea, thing is the van isn't the best place to try to kip as i can't get in the back of the sodding thing coz it has a large tank for water in it..
But i think i'll take the advice & try to get past Brum before 7... looks like 4.30am at the very latest i'll be leaving then !

    Cheers

    Steve
