    Hi everyone
I’ve just joined the forum so the whole thing is still new to me, but thought I would share my targets I’ve just made ! I used overflow waist pipe and filled with sand to add weight so as not to blow about!
I’m happy with the results I’ll be leaving them at my club for all to use if wanted !
Just interested in people’s thoughts .

Looks good until the pilchards start shooting the plastic overflow pipe stand

    I agree with Conor.

For use on a private range / in the garden they look great, and I have seen a similar idea used at a club in America to hold bench rest targets.

But, 25 plus years experience of clubs leads me to believe that it will be a matter of hours before someone shoots the frame to bits.

I did think that my self ! I might just keep for my own use, a couple of stray shots and they will be F***ed !
I’m planning on making some angle iron just need to brush up on my welding skills other wise they will be more fragile
    Than the overflow pipe lol

Once let my survey measuring tape out on a plinking range and some smart **** decided to shoot it! Seems anything is fair game.

Make the same from steel water pipe with all the reinforced angles and you're on to a winner.
Out of plastic it will last a matter of minutes, especially when people realise how entertaining it is to shoot the pipe and get a stream of sand flow out....;)

Think it was a bit naive of me to think people would take more care and appreciate someone’s efforts!
I will keep them at home! Have a few ideas from Pinterest I’m going to try a lot more robust we live and learn

Test the water by sticking up a 'Don't shoot this sign' on the range and see how you get on...:)

image.jpg There’s a very large one of these in the field behind my house, I could hang a 8x4 ft sheet on this and even I could hit that

Try reducing the image to less than 1600px x 1600px and see if that solves the problem.

Use some galvanised tubing and you're sorted. Extra weight too.

Agreed, club members will always shoot what they are not supposed to, our club uses those small rare earth magnets to hold paper targets to metal back plates and we found some members had taken to shooting the magnets !!

Or you could try filling with self leveller.
It should work on the uprights and base. Top would be fun unless you drilled a fill hole in the middle.
If you do try it, get it on video, could be fun to watch.
