As I have been asked a couple of times, just to clarify:
The Trophy Shoot is an annual event in the SWEFTA calendar. It is the day when all of the prizes and trophies that have been won during the year's league shoots - and the Showdown - are awarded.
It's open to all SWEFTA shooters to take part and it is not reserved only for those who have a prize to pick up.
The shoot itself is just a social shoot and the scores do not count towards any grading and so on; all that is behind you so this is a pressure-free event. It's also a chance to support and congratulate any chums who will be picking up a piece of glass or silverware for their spouses to polish.
See you on the day.
EDFTC have decided that this year all fees from this shoot will be donated to the EDFTC V BBS charity box, Entry will be £4 for FT and £3 for HFT, Ann form Buckley Wood will be providing Hot food all day and EDFTC will provide the Hot drinks.
The format will be FT, 20 shots to be taken in AM session Then short break for Prize presentation at around 12 noon , Then finish afternoon of with the last 20 targets for those that want to carry on, Highest score on day will receive £20 and then a further draw of shooters cards for £10, The HFT guys must stop at 12 noon for presentation then carry on to finish after. Providing enough enter the HFT we will offer a 1st place cash prize , The HFT cards will be placed into the cash draw anyway.
This is a casual event and anyone is more than welcome to come along and shoot.
See you on the 15th .
Cool.. sounds interesting...
if we start HFT and do pants, can we swap to FT in the afternoon?
roll on next season,bored already!!!!!!!!
Come up to Shebbear for the morning tomorrow if you like, by way of a change. Be our guest. Just don't do too well, that's all we insist on.
thx for the offer rich, might hold you to that one daylets hope for a dry day on the 15th!
Is there a specific kick off time? Or is it a walk on?
Just walk on when ready Rob,The weather looks better for sunday , light drizzel and 10-15mph winds.
it would be a shame to have 2 dry shoots this winter...
what time roughly will you be kicking off?
Most people start around 9 -10am, We will stop the shoot a 12pm for the presentation then continue if not finished. Casual day.
Despite my best efforts to get a load of reports finalised work has yet again buggered up my weekend and I'm not going to be able to get down tomorrow.
Well done in advance to everyone that picks up a pot and hopefully catch up with most of you soon.
