Cheers Jimmer, a very enjoyable day, pity Helen met a very on form Amanda in the 2nd round, but her and Neil kept me very honest, right to the last targets. It took a 50+ yd kneeler to seperate Neil and I, and most of the course for Amanda, who was clearing standers with single secs to go where I had tripped.

Seems Rich's trick of chasing and slotting in replacements kept the field thick. Thanks to those who I shot with today and those behind the organisation (stats and all), was good fun. :)

Many thanks Jimmer. I'll relay your thoughts to the "staff".

There is a full result page on the other thread on here. RobF beat Amanda in the final, and Robbie Tayor beat Rudi Gerlach in the Plate.

A couple of things come to mind. Many of the scores were close, and there were a few shoot-offs. Neil Rogers and I were perfectly matched all the way round, we both missed the same five targets. In the shoot-off I still didn't give number 19 the right wind, and Neil did.

Also, we don't get all that many ladies taking part in FT, and what a cruel turn of fate that two of the three that we had were drawn against each other in the first round so one had to go out straight away. Nevertheless Amanda carried her bat to the final.

Yesterday a couple (or more) shooters remarked that the orange course had more long targets than the blue course.

That's true, but the blue course had trickier wind to contend with, and I was planning that the two would balance out.

Not having much else to do today (!!!!) I thought I would add up all the hits, and it was almost a dead heat, orange course 356 hits and blue course 360.
