We had excellent weather, a bit blustery in places in the wood, also a bit dark. Andy Williams, relatively newly promoted to AA in SWEFTA, shot an outstanding 46 ex 50 for top honours for the day. Our own Rob Farnworth shot a creditable 44 ex 50 for second place in AA. Also a special mention for two youngsters who had a go, Jack and Will with scores of 18 and 17 respectively not bad for first timers using a strange gun, and I mean strange. Venison burgers, sausages and bacon rolls were on the go all day from 8:00am as was the tea and coffee courtesy of Nick Crocker and family. A special presentation was made, eventually when they arrived, they were out on a shout, to the RLNI to the tune of £300, hopefully we will run an annual RNLI Open shoot from next year, will keep you posted.
