SWEFTA League 5 - Cornwall
post code for the ground please?
or near by!
Sorry, don't have a Post Code, but the actual Sat Nav Co-Ordanites are:-
Route to Cornwall FTC from westbound carriageway of the A30:
A30 to Chiverton Cross.
Take A390 towards Truro.
At Penstraze, turn right on minor road to Chancewater.
At T junction turn right then first left onto road for Falmouth.
Follow this road to entrance of club on left hand side of road under high voltage power lines.
Also see under Cornwall FTC via the link below
Hope this helps!
Thanks Tony, may have to miss that one, its a bit far and clashes with aTondu shoot.
Pity, as it means i could only make 5 league shoots?
Cornwall FTC site from the air:
with onions please
the orangy van thing bottom left, hope thats the burger van?
That agricultural trailer isn't even on our site
The club lies beyond the road and is bounded by the stream on the right and the hedge line that separate the old mine land from the field at top of the view.
Nice view of your ground from the air, how did you get that shot? ..... hope you haven't been climbing up our towers!
My boss has a mate with a light aircraft and got a flight to take some shots of the site in general, just happened one of his pictures showed the club site.
Well, shall look forward to meeting up with you there and inspecting your Collection of Mk4's Dale!
Will be apleasure having you guys come along for a visit.
It is a bit of a pity that we are a fair way down the county, but with the exception of the last couple of miles after leaving the A30 it is a fairly straight forward run.
As to the Mk4's, remind me closer to the time and I will bring them along
Dale, will there be any food there? Just that I doubt we'll be there much before 11 pm...
Even if there was food it may cold, and hard to find in the dark.
Try turn up sooner?
Never has been any food on offer in cornwall...bring your own..
Will do Chris, just was wondering... i'm sure there was nibbles there when i went before though. Just trying to work out the logistics of the 3.5 hour drive and eating and trying to get a shoot in before 11pm
If plan A goes well, mine is a £19 Travelbodge. Only about 30 mins then Sunday morning.
Just 4-5 hours home??
Don't think we'll can do that... there's 3 of us, plus i need to rezero the Walther after her strip down last night... which will mean Saturday at South Dorset probably...
Funny you say that, I was going to the Bfta meeting saturday but as nothing can really be put in stone and i found tuesday REV had a number of small faults, enough to make me wonder how i hit anything sunday, I am hoping to set up at Tondu Am on the way down.
Long one this one but enjoyed it.
Forgot my gimp coat, thats my excuse for today.
And my new Bean bag was to full.
And the air Arms Fleece dont fit
And i should not have moved the scope wheel AGAIN Tuesday
Anyway, the Hft course was not what i was expecting, a bit longer than i imagined it would be. However, an interesting 30 shots and very interesting the difference in kneeling ft style and hft style.
Thanks to Rich for guidence, even though i beat him lol.
Suspect he will have some daft excuse like his gun had been re-zeroed to 40 yards.
As it was, that was about right lol.
Ft. started badly, got it going then finished like a fart Missed 4 out of last 5
Definatley missed the Gimp coat, probably more than the targets and thats saying something.
Very interesting to have all those 12.5 ml kills, very nervy shots.
A 15 ml kill now looks huge lol
Really liked the 25 ml kills past 35 yards, sensible placing and definatley think 25 ml kills to 40 yards is the way for Gp shoots.
all in all very good FT course.
Missed the two long standers but i put that down to the coat.
Wobbled on three shots, again blame the coat. And my new Bean bag was over full.
And i was over ranging.
Well done to Rob and Steve on the 35, good shooting, Title must nearly be Robs now?
See you at Shebbear?
Thanks to Cornwall FTC for the shoot.
