I won't be there at 0900, it's more than two hours in the car from here and I need my beauty sleep so about 1000 probably.:)

Rod has just circulated a map showing the new way in since the new road for the olympics has been built.

We had trouble finding our way in last year, so I would like to clarify which map is current!
On the South Dorset website there is a map and directions, the map shows a left turn into Station Road and the directions describe a right turn into Station Road:rolleyes: Are these the current and correct directions??

    Hi Guys,

The situation has changed since, quite a few times... i will have to draw a new map, because I'm not sure the new roads are on any new map... but don't worry, it is easy to find.

I will try to do that today, and stick it up here... and i'll see if i can get it up on the site over the next day or so when i get home for access...

The problem is that they may change the route in... but we will hopefully know if that's changed because we'll be down there the day before.

Thank's Rob for the reasurance that it's easy to find, but...
While trying to get in last year, we bumped into the farmer who owns the farm and his directions were wrong as well!?

    UPDATE:

I have just sent by email a copy of the latest map to everyone in the SWEFTA region who is on my list to receive league scores and results.

If you are reading this and didn't get an email then I don't have your address - if you would like to share it with me I will be pleased to add it to the scores recipients list.:)

Can someone confirm that we can shoot early, all being well with travelling?

By early, I was thinking 8,30 am?

The weather for 12pm + is rain, so would rather shoot early?

I am going down today, will ask, but think it's only fair to have a start time that everyone could make, within reason.

It wouldn't be seen to be fair to see me coming off the course at 8am with a partner, finishing one down, would it?

Think swefta should have a start time... some of the grounds are so far away it is hard to get to them for an early start. It would mean me leaving at 2 am for one ground.

Oh, just remembered, I have the cards in my car... I do fancy a lay-in :D

Well done guys and girls, course was good, but that wind was a real sod. Unusual for SDOR it switched half way down and became very tricky towards the end... that meant a lot of digging deep to chase Simon's 35... I wonder if we did enough on the team scores?

Will post some pics up later :)

Thanks Terry, Rod and all the South Dorset gang for a good course, but that wind was a real bitch. The steps up into the wood was a real improvement which I found of great benifit :)

Who won Rob, was it Simon?

Really enjoyed the day today. Only shot the course once before and that was the Gp about 3 years ago, where my score was pants lol.
Thanks to all involved in running the show today, much appreciated.

Using the Priest today and although I know the Gun is MEGA, it was the scope I was more concerned about. Put myself on the clock and no worries with time or range so should be good for Gp 3 next week?

Really enjoyed the course, the perfect example that distance is not needed in Ft.
I missed the 55 yarder lol.
Like a tart on the standers today though lol
Tricky wind, but readable most of the time.

A few pics from my pocket camera as a small remionder. Rob had a big one so expect some better quality from Top gun:)

    Once again, well done Rob.
