League 8 - More details to follow
Visit www.shebbearshooters.co.uk and find instructions how to get to us.
Since the last league shoot here we have put down an extensive area of hardstanding and the problems of the muddy gateway are a thing of the past.
The kitchen staff will be there from about 0830 for drinks and bacon rolls. We have an arrangement with the neighbours that we don't start shooting until 0900 and that includes zeroing, so there's no need to arrive very early.
A few changes have been made to the FT course to keep it fresh, and if it's a breezy day the reducers will be coming off.
This will be the chance for a place as one of the last four qualifiers for the SWEFTA showdown.
looking forward to it..any changes to the hft course, hope not still got all the distances wrote down
Bet are mr hartnoll has had something to do with it.....being left handed
hft will be changed and maybe better if you are a leftie
And we hope to have our new targets in place that defy bracketing to rangefind . . . .
My Sightron will measure them!
Are you going to shoot HFT with it? Max 12 mag remember.
Both courses are looking very inviting.
The FT course is going to be a little bit easier than last time; on the other hand the changes that have been made to the HFT course are going to cause grown men to weep. . . . hopefully.
This will be the last chance to qualify for the SWEFTA showdown in 3 weeks time.
The scores will be distributed in a few minutes.
In the meantime, well done to
for taking the last four slots at the Showdown coming up at the end of the month.
We've heard there are likely to be five shooters who for one reason or another can't take part even though they have won a place, so we shall be looking for reserves...........
Thankyou to Rich and his team for another excellent shoot and catering.
The course was suposed to be easier!? In an attempt to make it easier, I think it might now be harder, but with my train wreck score, I would say that.
It is the first time I have actually thought hitting the last few targets didn't matter either way!
Thank's for bringing me down to earth (from the Masters) with an almighty thump.
P.S I will be inviting myself to Shebbear very soon to see if I can work out where I went wrong.
must admit having looked through the scores I was wondering what you did wrong??
Two top tips for you Alec.
on the side of your gun it should have the letters "EV2"
and somewhere on the Scope it should say" Leupold"
see you at showdown
Unless work gets in the way, come along on Wednesday. I'll be there from about 1400 until maybe 1800.
I might be able to come along Wednesday if I'm better by then. Having spent the day portering at Summercourt Auction I find I have the same bug as my girlfriend and her daughters, so that would go a long way to explain why I couldn't hit a barn door yersterday! I just hope I'm well in time for the Euro's!!
I feel sorry for the Rabbit that got hit on the backside.......
At least I hit metal
I can't say I hit metal 40 times though!!
Oh Alec, what happened? You were on fire the weekend before...
I was in shock after the shoot yesterday and had no idea why I couldn't think straight or shoot straight!
But I've definitely got the bug going round. I've got the shakes and a headache and feel rough as old boots, so at least I can stop worrying about what went wrong!
Hopefully back up to full speed for the weekend.
Enjoy the weekend
I will enjoy it regardless of my scores as it's a fantastic fair with a great atmosphere. And I can't wait to see what they've done with the course.
Are you going?
