What are people's criteria for fitting stocks?
Is it a very personal thing, or is there a shape, an angle a balance or weight more suited to the discipline for which its to be used.
Or is it just a case of, stock length, cheek height, reasonable hand rake.

    Malcolm.

I would say that everyone is a different shape. We all want different things, weight in different places and different reach/angles/lengths/heights. It's good that stocks are adjustable, but it's better when you see an expert and have something made specifically for you.

Something can be made that fits 95% of the people, but that final 5% turns really really good into bloody perfect.
