What am I likely to find under the black paint on Steyr woodwork?

I will be swapping the hamster and cheek piece for walnut and will need a grip that will match. Won't spend silly money and just wondered what the standard furniture is made from before I go shopping.

Also, suggestions other than the likes of Gary Cane for a grip?

    Many thanks.

If is a LG110 it's walnut, they are made in Spain by Ibergrips that's why the wood is diferent and better.

There is an Anston member making woodwork for Steyrs - they look very good.

I am sure someone will pop along shortly with his contact details :)

Or - ask around the Anston members at the shoot on Sunday.

Thanks for the info folks. I will try and catch up with Warren for a chat at the weekend.

I had a feeling from what I can make out of the current black woodwork that it might be walnut. Could therefore strip that, but I would rather leave the original set intact if possible.

Anyone got a pic of any of his work?
