There's a very slim transparent washer which comes with some Steryrs... anyone know of a source of them in the UK?

Their fitted to improve the seal on the muzzle tube.
I make my own from 0.7mm transparent plastic film.
Just drill a 9mm hole and cut around it, or heat the drill bit up and burn the hole into it.
Don't put too many underneath though as you'll prevent the muzzle tube going into the barrel cut out part of the chassis.

I assume they are used if the transfer port hole is drilled towards maximum depth in the chassis and the transfer port O ring would not make a firm enough seal on the muzzle tube without it.
Mine doesn't have one. Doesn't he say on the Steyr video "if there is a washer fitted..."

We use washers machined from Peek plastic (interesting spec). Sorry I cant give you a source for them.

I reckon if your gun didn't come with a washer, it won't need one, if it came with a washer it'll need one, unless you change the transfer port.

We did a lot of work with Peek plastics, very good company. Their engineering plastics have very good tensile strength and excellent high temperature stability. Can't see why you'd need either under your transfer port though
