I have heard that some people have made the hole bigger were the barrel goes through the frame to avoid poi change is this worth doing ?

It's definitely worth removing the plastic ring that holds the barrel in place.
When it's removed, if the free floated barrel is clear of the chassis, leave it as it is. If it's close to the chassis, remove a small amount of chassis to ensure the barrel won't touch it.

Not sure if Johnunleashed of this parish will be along shortly, but he had the same POI issue on his LG110. His barrel was in contact with the chassis so he rotated the barrel but to no affect. Then using an 18mm drill bit reamead out the chassis where the barrel passes through. He now has daylight between the barrel and chassis. Scored 35/40 under tricky conditions on a FT course at the weekend so the remedial action carried out was successful.

Can I ask why not on an LG100?

First make sure that your barrel bedding is straight and doesn't look like the one on the left, otherwise your barrel will be crooked.

The barrel on a 100 is only held by 1 screw at the breach, the 110 has 2

Not necessary true depends on the age of the LG100

I would argue it would be better to remove material from frame then index the barrel so the rifle is shooting either 12 or 6 o clock ,rather than rotating barrel so it clears the frame .

Only the "manlicher" lg100's have one screw. Sportwaffen lg100's have two.
