Our weekend league shoot started off very cold jackets on jackets cold. Well my 100 where the butt end enters the steel body of the rifle came apart twice. Now the fitting together we reckoned the cold slightly shrunk both the take down lever and the shaft itself. And my thumb up position didn't help touching the lever. As the morning got considerably warmer the area was tight as a drum only come apart using the lever. So as not to get that happen again, because I felt a numpty with two pieces of a rifle in my hands. So I drilled a 3.2mm hole with the butt set in and a hole through the case metal and then continued to make small indentation on the main metal of the butt. Tapped the body m4 and using pointed m4 grub screw that settled into the indentation made earlier on the butt metal. Job done, now to take down undo grub screw and off she comes with the lever.
