Guys I'm after some advice I usually only work on walthers and haven't tinkered with a steyr before however I want to convert a 12ftlbs LG100 (obviously it's been converted up at some point) back down to under 6ftlbs so I can shoot 10 m

    Is this easily achievable ?

Do I have to switch the reg ?

Do I have to change the port ?

    Thanks Steve

Have you tried turning the power down as low as it will go. Other another
Way would be to change the transfer port. When I changed from green to black before I adjusted the power it changed it fro, 11.4 to 16.9 just by a transfer port change.

same as what Al said, a gold transfer port is the way to go and then fine tune it to your requirements.

You got a dioptre set for it?

    Cheers

As above, the gold transfer port should do it. Normally a different reg is used for 6 ft/lb rifles that has a smaller transfer hole.

Using the gold transfer port (small one) is a quick and easy way but its not the most economical. It wastes air.
The best way to do it is to change the reg to a 6ft/lb one, or if you know what your at, adjust (drop) the reg pressure on your 12ft/lb gun.
Using the 4mm black transfer port and the hammer backed right off, you get loads of shots and the gun is totally dead to shoot.
This way I can usually shoot 4 rounds of 60 shots before a refill ;)
