Why is it banned if prone is more stable ?
Who says its more stable Cliffy ? When I shot FT I could hold it just as steady when sitting as I can prone
If you wanna sit try FT
You have a good point, but why is sitting banned ?
As it would be just FT 2 then instead of a differant sport
PS plus we don't want piles
that is the most pointless answer ever given, why is sitting banned in HFT if it is a safe position to take ?
Believe me mate I've given better pointless answers than that in the past.
Simple answer its not banned its just never been allowed and never will be as its a different sport to FT.
Note the words "different sport" in sparky's pointless answer
Same as I cant rest my forearm on the ground in FT when prone, again different sport different rules.
I think it's a bit like insisting you shoot with a rifle that doesn't fit you.
I don't like sitting, standing or kneeling but I can do rolling around on the floor.
HFT would become equally boring as FT and just be FT2 if parking ya jacksie on a big comfy shooting saddle/cushion/armchair were allowed. NO POINT!!!
Now if HFT ( and I understand the reasoning for the peg ) were to get rid of the peg!
funniest Topic in years
Its all in the word HFT as not many people i know stalk there quarry in a sitting position, its all about hunting in the field, am i not wrong.
Lets have a chalange the top hft verses top ft mid rules just to see my bet ft lads all the way so better at standers and knealers
Been done before its called the Anglo/American
And UKAHFT extreme shoots
Who wins !!!!!@@@ hft ft shooters
In FT we can use any position in a open peg, why not in HFT. Question to quarry hunters home of motorcross
It's been pretty even in the past with the top score on the day from either
thought Id mistakenly logged onto airgunbbs for a moment o
Difficult that one because most of the top HFT shooters are people that moved away from FT to a more skill related sport rather than kit reliant.
I wasn't aware you could use a hft style prone position in FT ? Or did you just mean you can use any position as set down in the bfta rules ?
As has previously been said different sports have different rules.....
As far as im aware, You can shoot prone in FT but you can't lean or rest against a nice stable "PEG"...lol
