[ Why is it always the ones I knock down that get hoicked ? ] Full spreadsheet will be 'launched' on the SIHFT web site later this week, after you've all had a chance to point out any errors. Should you spot something, please drop me a brief explanatory email or PM. Biggles
I heard a rumour that anyone shooting mid fifties must have shot really well (((((Mike Byford Oaks O 50 84.7% ))))) - I think anyone shooting over 51 shot really well personally Incase you didn't see it on the other thread , well done on a great course - probably the best I have shot at the Oaks since the club started . I only drop the neck breakers nowadays lol atvb Dave
How high up was that target on peg 6? Combined with how close it was, it was very tricky but fun as I managed to get it. Very enjoyable & educational course really as I don't shoot in the wind much. I also confirmed 100% that my current batch of AA Field 4.51's are suffering from random wandering pellet syndrome. From 30 yards+ I'll have a pellet heading perfectly for a target (holdover perfect) and then a few yards before the target, the pellet will hook right. It doesn't always happen but when it does, it is consistently right hooking. I'll just have to sort & weigh the blighters for the time being.
Shame really as Derek said I was in 3rd overall until I missed Swallows , this would have kept me right up with the pack but sadly its not meant to be ... hey ho I still really enjoyed the shoot Martin especially as I had only set the gun up a little while before the start ! lol See you sunday perhaps ? atvb Dave
It was a tough course, i shot like a muppet! Always shoot crap at our events but seem to be shooting crap full stop! I shall sort it out and settle down, Our Spencer getting a 59 (inc his 4 junior points!!)...What a star! As indeed all the juniors were, must have been extremely daunting shooting that course! I would like to apologise to anyone suffering around 'The Oaks'....but that would just be a blatant untruth!! You lot were lucky it wasn't really windy! great Stuff, great company! Thankyou Mike.
I really didn't think it was that difficult but perhaps I was lucky as the scores show a different story , a very well thought out course ......... or that Gent bloke just threw them over his shoulder and hoped for the best . lol For the first time I think I only dropped one point in the field , missed a few silly ones and got all the hard ones - why does that happen anyway ??? 59 was superb and so too was Simons 55 which was superb for a newbie atvb Dave
