    Hi all,

Ive been looking at this scope and really fancy one, it wil be used for hft and a bit of hunting and range work. I havent the chance to look through one as no one near me stocks them. Do any of you guys have any experience with them? If so id love to hear any views on it. Good or bad. Thanks very much. Brett

I’m using one for HFT and I really like it. The glass is one of the best (if not the best) in its price class! The reticle is really thin so that’s something you might like or not. You can calibrate the reticle to be true milhash (according to my calculations it’s 9,3x) so it can be used to do range-finding.

It has a ‘tactical’ style coating on the outside which is a matte rough coating that will look like a rash when something scratches it, the coating is hard and will not be damaged but it will look like it but you can just wipe it off with a cloth.

A picture with the scope mounted on my Steyr. You can see the white 'rash' I was talking about on the scope just before where the sunshade starts.

Although I have not shot with one I did get one and looked through it - a great scope in my view. Good glass, detailed reticle without being too 'busy'. My only regret was I often have the scope touching the peg and the turrets on the Sightron were a tiny bit too big for that.

This probably only affects me due to challenges with my left hand meaning I lean against the peg - otherwise I though this was a good scope.

hello mate good to see you on here also!

i have been looking at this scope as a contender for hft along with the cheaper sightron hft 4-12x40

having not looked through one before im keen to hear what people's opinions are on them

The glass on the Sightron is excellent, the reticle has enough detail to aim with and is in my humble opinion is not too 'busy' to be easy to use. The one suggestion I would make is the reticle is quite fine so if you are looking at a busy background oyu do need to concentrate - having said that you might find it fine so def worth getting a look through one - or buy one from someone with a no quibble returns policy.

Hello mate, it was an option of this or the vortex diamondback ffp. I got the vortex, very nice scope, well made and nice glass but I just can't get away with ffp so it went back. This sightron looks lovely but I've settled on keeping the connect on my gsx. Just seems to be nice for me.

Thanks for all the replies too guys. It's much appreciated.
