sidewheel markings and clicks

    so im about to set my nikko up and was wondering what marks/click you use on your FT rig?

    i was going to do

    20
    25
    30
    35
    40
    45
    50
    55

    for both side wheel and clicks

    looking at pics on hear some guys have what looks like clicks and marks for every range, so how is your set?

    I'd go every yard from 8 to 15 for click values, if your dialling, you have to be really spot on for the close micros (15mm kills).
    My scope won't focus down to 8 yards, but I have clicks marked for it. Theory is, if it's blurry, it's less than 10 yards .
    On the sidewheel I have 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 52.5 and 55. I have seen Big Nikkos marked every yard between 50 and 55

    As for the clicks it depends what mounts, pellets you use ect.

    Yup same for me, on my Steyr/March :) on my FWB P70/ Big Nikko I do the same but as I use a 50ft adapter the markings from 8 to 10 yards which are done with the adapter down are marked in red on the sidewheel. for the "in between" ranges ie 37,43,52 etc I just guesstimate the clicks from those either side on my click chart

    My side wheel has markings for 10 to 20yds in 1 yard intervals then 22,25,27,30,32.35,38,40,42,45,47,50,52,55.

    My turret has a diagram on top for 7 to 10 yds at 15x mag, 10 to 15 yds at 25x mag sing the lines on a NATO Ret. This is when the turret is set to 15yds.Do not like dialling down to 8/10 yds as its nearly a turn and half.
    Markings for 15 to 20 yds in 1 yard steps. Then 20-35yds as 1 line as only 1 click between them, ideal for standers/kneelers to me :D. Then the remaining markings march the side wheel.

    Sidewheel and turret are both marked for each yard from 10-25 yards, then each 2.5 yard increments out to 55 yards.

    I have to dial for each distance as my scopes only have a target dot ret, so no other aim points.

    My turret bottoms out on the scope body at my start point (25 yards, top of pellet flight path) so even though I have to dial nearly 2 turns for 10 yards, I just reset to that point after each shot, so should never leave it a turn out.

    Thats fantastic , You want to start selling that as a kit , to include the top turret. What make are the mounts ?.

    I have only targets at 8, 10 and then every 5 yds so unless I can be bothered to set them up I use that then reinterpolate the clicks for every 2.5 yds. Saves me having to work it out in a hurry. Worse ones are probably 8-12 yds where you have a lot of clicks. In actual movement terms not that much at the target, 1/4moa click is 1/40 of an inch or .6 of a mm. So given a 15mm is going to give you 6mm of error before you clip an edge you can be 10 clicks out or 2.5 Moa before you miss for wrong clicks, which is a lot more than a 50yd target where about 5-6 will have you bouncing off an edge.

    mine will focus to a min of10 yards.
    10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,30,35,40,45,50,55

    for 9 and 8 yards focus using magnification ring.
