I have been playing around with an Excel Spreadsheet that was used when our club ran the Showdown for the CSFTA in March last year.

We decided to do the random version by getting all those who were entering to chose a number. This number was then used to organise the competitors into pairs and which course and lane they were starting on. Once the results for each round are added in the next round is sorted out automatically.

    I have attached it to this (I hope:rolleyes: ) and it does 16, 32 or 64 competitors.

Feel free to use it for your own competitions.

I have modified the spreadsheet slightly so that on the last sheet each pairing and course number is listed to make filling the cards in easier I hope.

Any other additions that you think would help I will try and put in.

    Looks excellent Andy.

I will have a play and may use it at the BFTA Showdown in October, if that's ok

By all means Shaun, the 32 version was used at the CSFTA showndown last weekend and only had 1 minor hiccup which is why I added the last worksheet to try and make the writting of the scorecards easier.

This version ahs corrected a few minor issues on the 64 Competitor Sheet. Any other errors please let me know.
