Well done to Rob Farnworth who won the Showdown today beating Ian Taylor in the Final 19 to 18 and also to Neil Daniels who beat Kevin Sayers by 19 to 18 in the plate.

    Good shooting lads!

Cheers guys. Quite where that came from I don't know. I think it was a case of it just going my way all day. Never expected to beat Ian, or see him give me the opportunity to do so. Mind you, I think I kept saying that to myself all day in every round ;)

Thanks to the Newbury boys and the BFTA and everyone else who worked so hard all weekend.

Found one small problem... the trophy won't fit on any of my shelves! :D

Well done to Neil, he was working hard against Andras from the looks of things to get into the final.

    Congratulations Rob and Neil. :)

Would love to have been there, but shooting has been temporarily replaced by babysitting. The 2 Dommies have been in the loft since GP6! :(

I would like to just say had i not beaten Mr Daniels in the first round of the showdown he would not have been in a position to win the plate, all i was doing was thinking of a fellow redferns shooter and setting him up for a win so i don,t like doing it but i must be held responsible for starting him on his way.Very well done mr Daniels and congrats to rob. I`m in Tony the Car crushers club

Great result for the pair of you, Not sure I should have baught an ev2 but a Walther instead??

Anyway, watching and photographing Rob in the final was superb, top shooting to beat lets face it a fantastic shooter in Ian. Now start wirtting that "how to shoot Ft" Book, "Shooting the Breeze":)

I pushed Ian in rd 2, would have had him with my Ev2 lol:D Ok him missed a short kneeler and I looked good for a coule of lanes haha:D

Whats the odds on Taylor making it to a hat trick of final rounds next year?

Great day, some whicked wind and i joined a new exclusive club started by Tony earlier this year?

Got about a mile from j13 and the rear prop exploaded, I said it would:eek:. What is it about Newbury and killing cars:D

As such, just been dropped off so pics tomorrow:D

Thanks chaps, thoroughly enjoyable weekend with great courses, would rather have had Rob's trophy though, bigger and shinier!
Steve's been trying to convince me to thank him, but it still feels like he kicked my arse!
