As a Jock my loyalties lie here deeply in Scotland.

Highlight of thr shooting calender for me was the Scottish HFT championships at Tayside (TAG) Air Rifle Club.
Where Sean Webb was crowned Scottish HFT CHampion for 2010!
Not only did TAG put on the best Scottish course this year the company at Scotlands first proper HFT league was amazing and so friendly.

But from a UKAHFT round it has to go to Quarry!
It was a tough one between Emleys fantastic new ground and Quarry but to have the chance to re-visit Wales for a 3rd time and to have such fantastic weather and what was in my mind the most fantastic course i have ever encountered yet.....

The atmosphere was electric, the food/catering was amazing and although i shot like a fanny! It was the most enjoyable shoot of the season.

So what have you enjoyed this year and why????

p.S. still have no memory of Me, Laity or Guy getting our finger nails 'done' in that fab Pink colour ;)

    Personal choice

Highlights of the year, there was a few to be fair.

As shoots go the NEFTA Classic is my favourite and always is, I love the set up of it.

Titles wise, winning the Welsh Open being a Welshman was massive for myself.

I had a good year personally so got loads of superb memories of 2010.

    Thanks Kenny

    Kenny,

Fingers crossed I will be having a go at a copule of the UKAHFT rounds as well. Want to start getting some HFT going in the club soon and get some practice in for myself.

I love having a go at it and with the Worlds coming up in Kelmarsh again in April would be nice to be able to understand a bit more about rangefinding using mildots haahaa...

Come on Rob, get off the fence ;)

Out off all the shoots something must have stood out, or a course must have shone out from the others??
Come on tell us ??? :)

Where to start?? It's been another cracking year with plenty of good times:)
My club, Meon Valley, has gone from strength to strength and formed its first ever UKAHFT team for 2010 and it makes me proud to say we took a couple of wins over the mighty MAD in our maiden year :) Lets hope for 2011 we become even stronger as a team:)
On a personal level my shooting highlight would be taking a UK win, at last:rolleyes:, and placing high enough to able to represent England in next seasons WHFTA :) To say I'm chuffed is an understatement and I can't wait to get stuck into the 2011 season :)
On a social level there has been many great times and some of those times can even be talked about in public:D
Firey drinking games, painted nails, stilt walking, wrestling women, naughty barmaids and talk of creating a midget pole dancers website...and that was just one evening out!!!:eek::D
Too many things to mention and too many fantastic people to thank, as I remember more I'll post some stories up...names maybe changed to protect the innocent...:D:D

Meanwhile I'll leave you with this picture ;)

    Highlights of the past year....

This has been my first year of actually getting into the nitty gritty of FT rather than years of simply plinking.....

My first victory at the Bisley Classic on 17 Oct - Not only my B-day but my first ever trophy!!! And the pork rolls and cakes at lunch were super yummy too!!! Good Course, Good Company, Good Food, Birthday Presents, a Trophy.... what more could you ask for!! :D

Then went on to first serious winter league shoot at North Oxon...... a balmy -6.5 and with only my eyes visable achieved a score not only great for me (31 out of 40), but good enough to count towards my club (soton Buc's) overall score, and be joint top score in B class too..... Oh and we scored higher than Bisley.... Result - mainly as Bisley is my Sister's club and sisterly rivalry permitted it is always good to beat her!!!! ;)

Bring on 2011 and more challenging courses, hopefully more trophies and all I can say is watch this space.....:D

    Look out

    Well H,

All we can say is God help us, with what looks like a few new females to the sport we can only sit back and watch I think. Should make it interesting has to be said. Just watch out for a creepy old man hiding in the bushes wearing his special pair of Ron Hills.... Yes he is the man in tight tights haahaa...

Euskadi open shoot off for 4th place between myself and Val Szulc.

    Val, 6ft plus, shot first.

Me, 5ft nothing, sat down and couldn't see even the top of the target!

    It broke the tension :)

bugger the comps, highlight for me was finally hitting all six with no misses on the resettable target at 100yds with a springer down our range, you would not believe the number of times I've hit five out of six only to miss the las one!

Highlight for me, travelling down south with mates in a van to UKAHFT events, banter cant be beaten.
